Of course this was the first cold spell for this year. By the time we got to Cheaha the temperature was 29 and the water froze as soon as I connected it. All the trees were covered by ice. I was able to thaw the water line but later that night it froze again. My sewer hoses were cracked and split so I could not drain the tanks, which were still full from the summer and fall use. I was thankful that the weather improved the next day and we were close enough to Camping World to get some new hoses.
Two weeks later, Amy heads to Virginia and Max and I stayed behind. I have decided that I am really lazy, so I have really enjoyed doing almost nothing this week. I had planned to do some hiking this week, but rain and cold stopped that from happening. Maybe next week. It is about time to camp again. We may head to Desota State Patk or Yargo State Park in Georgia. I would also like to go back to Vogel State Park and hike Blood Mountain again. Adventures await!
